Somewhere between the first cast and the last, Speyside has a way of making everything else feel very far away.
Nestled in the valley of Mulben, with the rolling Speyside countryside stretching out around you and the Scottish air carrying nothing louder than birdsong, our trout fishing experience is as much about where you are as what you catch. Two charming, privately stocked ponds sit within one of Scotland's most quietly spectacular landscapes — and for a few hours, all of it is yours.

The Experience
Whether you've never held a rod in your life or you've been fly fishing for years, you'll find something to love here.
Your personal ghillie will meet you at the water's edge, set up your rod, select the right fly for the day's conditions, and guide you through every cast. The ponds are regularly stocked with rainbow trout — wild-natured fish that feed on the natural insects skimming the surface — so you'll have a genuine, rewarding challenge on your hands.
When that first fish takes the fly, you'll feel it.
We fish catch-and-release, so the trout go back to fight another day. On special request, we can arrange for you to take a fish or two home — for you or to have your accommodation cook it fresh for your supper that evening.
Fact of the day
Did you know that fishing is the most individually participated sport in the U.K.? Surprising but true.
Who Is It For?
Trout fishing at Mulben is perfect for beginners and intermediate anglers, though experienced fishers regularly visit simply to enjoy the peace of the setting and the satisfaction of the catch. It's a wonderful activity for individuals, couples, small groups, and anyone who just needs to slow down for a while.
